The Methodist Church, Dorrigo, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday last when Iris Evelyn,third daughter of Mrs. Ballard and late Mr. Ballard, of North Dorrigo, was wedded to Walter George, youngest son of Mr. J. A. Hilder, of Dorrigo. The Church was prettily decorated tor the occasion by Mr. and Mrs. G. Gray and Miss Gwen Johnston.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. Jobn Thomas.

The bride, who entered the Church on the arm of her brother, looked charming in a . frock of cream taffeta silk, radium lace and silver finished with a hand made flower girdle with touches of lemon.. She carried a handsome bouquet of white zalias tied with tulle and little silver shoes. The embroidered veil and duchess cap made of radium lace and orange blossoms and court train lined with shell pink and draped with silver leaves and orange blossoms effected a pretty finish.

The train was carried by' little Miss Sylvia and Master Jack Morris. The former train-bearer looked dainty iu an empire frock of cream net over cream satin with shell pink trimmings. She also carried a. basket of pink roses tied with shell pink streamers. Master Jack Morris looked sweet in a pale blue satin suit with cream cuffs and collar carrying a silver wand tied with pale blue streamers.

The bridesmaids were Miss Winnie Mitchell and Miss Melvina Ballard (sister of the bride). The former was fro eked in pale blue satin trimmed with silver and she wore a cap and shoes to match, and carried a beautiful bouquet of cream roses tied with pale blue streamers. Miss Ballard wore a dainty frock of cream net over cream washing satin with cream satin ribbon trimmings, a hand-made flower girdle of lemon and a duchess cap of cream lace. She also carried a handsome bouquet of daffodils tied with cream ribbon

The 'bridegroom was attended by Mr. Gus 0'Neil as bestman and Mr. Bert Williamson as groomsman.

After the register had been signed (during which time Mrs. R. Noble sweetly rendered the solo 'Because') the bridal party left the Church amidst showers of confetti. A reception was afterwards held at the Empire Hall where the bride's mother and Mrs. Gore (sister of the bride) received the guests who numbered over one hundred .A. splendid breakfast was laid upon prettily decorated tables, and on the bridal table was a six-decker cake which was the work of Mr. J. Morgan. After the usual toasts were honored the happy couple left for Brisbane on their honeymoon. the bride travelling in a navy serge coat frock with trimmings of morone and green with hat and suede shoes to match. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold , wristlet, watch and to the brides-, maids a gold bangle and gold brooch respectively.
