Our last piece on wedding veils looks at floor length veils starting with the shortest of these the WALTZ falling just to the floor first becoming popular in the 1800's and again in the 1920's. The CHAPEL veil at 108" long is the shortest veil with a slight train or "drape sweep" & traditionally has the same length of train as the wedding dress. This veil works best with a formal traditional bridal look. The CATHEDRAL veil is perhaps the most elegant and classic style veil, ideal with a dramatic wedding dress with a long train. However, at 144" long it is also one of the longest, extending far behind the bride & needing assistance while walking.
